Report Child Abuse
HELP CREATE SAFER HAVENS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH

If you suspect child abuse or child sexual abuse, the goal is to protect the child from further abuse. You have the moral responsibility to report. You may be that child's only hope. Your report is confidential.

  1. If a child is in imminent danger, call 911, law enforcement
immediately. A report can be made to law enforcement or
the Child Protective Services Hotline. Your phone
information service can provide you with your local child
    abuse hotline number.
  2. You only need to have reasonable suspicion to report.
  3. You are not the investigator, the authorities are. You are a
reporter and you are not responsible to investigate or prove
    the abuse.
  4. When calling, try to have as much information as possible,
such as name of child, present location, telephone number.
To the best of your ability, describe what happened, or is
    happening.
