An Oviedo woman accused of sexually abusing children and producing child pornography from the acts pleaded guilty in Orlando federal court Thursday.
Sarah Adleta, 29, was arrested earlier this year after the FBI learned she may have sent pictures of herself and children to Aaron Dixon, a North Carolina man who was arrested in an unrelated case on charges of having sex with a child. She pleaded guilty to two child-sex charges, and faces up to 30 years in prison per count.
Adleta also told agents she sent explicit items to her ex-husband, Jonathan Adleta. She told agents her ex-husband was addicted to child pornography, and she sent him illegal images when he was deployed in Afghanistan.
She also told agents that she traveled with children in December to Jonathan Adleta's home in Oklahoma. Sarah Adleta told the FBI that it was during this trip that Jonathan Adleta abused one of the children, court records said.
Jonathan Adleta was subsequently arrested on a federal charge of transporting a minor with the intent to engage in sexual activity. His case is set for the August trial term in Orlando federal court.
