In reality, inflicting harm of any kind upon a child or teenager is child abuse. Categories of child abuse include Child Neglect, Physical Abuse, Emotional Abuse, and more specifically, the focus of this program, CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE.
No child should have to go to bed or wake up anxious, hungry, cold or fearful, and yet every day many do.
Denial of, or failure to recognize the signs and symptoms of child abuse may mean the abuse will continue. The young child is most often thought of as the victim of child abuse, but adolescent abuse is very serious and needs our attention. Your becoming better educated and informed could make a difference in the life of a child or adolescent, and will help to make our world a better place.
